Account Manager

Job Description:

The Account Manager is based in San Jose, CA and reports directly to the Acting Vice President of Sales (Craig Shirley) with the primary motivation of discovering and addressing our customers’ simulation-resistant superbug risks. The Account Manager will have a deep understanding of how Simulation-Resistant Superbugs impact modern SoC and IP designs and works diligently with our customers’ to identify and address their specific superbug risks. In many cases, new customers will not immediately see the direct correlation between the Parallelism Megatrend (New World Design) and Simulation-Resistant Superbug escapes. Therefore, the Account Manager will be required to systematically help our customers’ senior executives and their technical teams understand why their superbugs consistently escape to silicon, and how New World Verification restores verification sign-off predictability.

The main responsibilities of the Account Manager is to plan, lead, organize, and motivate sales campaigns in Tier 1 semiconductor accounts to uncover opportunities for Oski to deliver exceptional business value to our customers. The Account Manager will be responsible for managing several concurrent high visibility customer engagements in a fast-paced environment that spans multiple end customers.

  • Identify, develop and qualify top project candidates for Oski formal in the Territory.
  • Maintain Project Maps for each customer in the Territory to understand our top business opportunities and engage key economic and technical stakeholders at the right time.
  • Educate our customers on the correlation between New World Design’s pivot to parallelism and the resulting superbug epidemic. It is essential that our customers find evidence in their own designs of this Superbug epidemic.
  • Engage new customers in Superbug Risk Assessments to rank order their mission critical blocks that are likely to have Simulation-Resistant Superbug vulnerabilities, i.e., we diagnose before we prescribe.
  • Focus on tangible results and impact of Oski formal on our customers’ mission critical projects, and ensure that all stakeholders are aware of our results.
  • Review and/or contribute to test plan document(s)/presentation(s) for customers.
  • Participate in weekly internal project meeting and work with Project Leads to:
    • assess progress-to-date vs Plan,
    • set goals for coming week,
    • review weekly project update presentations.
  • Schedule and participate in weekly customer meetings ensuring that action items are logged and followed-up on.
  • Communicate with customer on items such as changes to schedule, plan or project deliverables; staff time off and staffing changes, etc.
  • Work with accounting to ensure timely, appropriate invoicing to customer.
  • Work with Project Lead, Project Engineer(s) and other internal stakeholders to create compelling end-of-project presentations to measure and document our value and drive repeat and expansion business with our customers.
  • Arrange Quarterly Executive Dialogues (“QEDs”) with existing customers to review our impact for the quarter, explore areas of future impact (new projects or blocks), and uncover areas where Oski can evolve our verification methodologies to increase our future impact.
  • Our customer engagement model is consultative, and requires a working knowledge of the block-level architecture of modern CPUs, GPUs, Wireless, Networking, PCIe/Ethernet, Automotive, and AI/ML designs.
  • Play a consultative role to help put in place the right people, processes, and tools to deliver world class verification services to our customers.
  • Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen our customer relationships.

Requirements:

The Account Manager has a digital hardware engineering background with tremendous drive, intelligence and capability. The Account Manager is highly motivated and has the ability and desire to have an impact on the future of high value, mission-critical professional services targeting semiconductor companies. The Account Manager is a multi-dimensional thinker who operates not only on the basis of important past experiences, but in light of new approaches and developments that occur.

Additional personal and professional attributes include:

  • BSEE degree or equivalent with an emphasis on digital design.
  • Prior sales experience is not required if you bring a willingness to learn proven sales methodologies, a strong work ethic, and a collaborative spirit.

  • Motivated, results-oriented, and organized self-starter.
  • Ability to communicate with a wide variety of audiences ranging in skill set (highly technical to non-technical) and experience (individual contributors to executive management), cross-organizationally and with customers.
  • Have a long-term mindset by remaining engaged with customers even if they do not use our services. Check in periodically to confirm that our risk assessments predicted their high-risk blocks, e.g., did they have bug escapes in these blocks? Can we help?

  • Ability to prioritize company objectives and meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Willingness to accommodate late night or early morning phone calls to collaborate with our India team members as needed.

Simulation Verification Engineer

Job Description:

Candidate will be responsible for creating leading-edge constrained-random verification environments and using them to drive functional correctness of innovative digital design/IP blocks and SoCs. Candidate must be able to take ownership of the full verification life-cycle for a design; developing a robust test plan, executing it by working with the design team and coordinating with other verification team members, requesting prompt support if needed, and driving to coverage closure within schedule constraints. Candidate should also be able to train and lead set of junior engineers for a given verification assignment.

Requirements:

  • 5 to 15 (or more) years of relevant industry experience in ASIC verification
  • Strong educational background with a BS, MS or PhD in CS/EE or equivalent degree
  • Experience with Verilog and SystemVerilog
  • Experienced in UVM-based verification methodologies and assertion-based verification
  • Clear understanding of coverage-driven constrained-random verification process
  • Experience with revision control methodology/systems such as RCS, GIT, SVN, etc. and ASIC front-end process
  • Proficient Linux user with experience in at least one programming language like C, C++ or Java and one scripting language like Perl or Python for verification and verification process automation
  • Experience with TCL
  • Experience with on-chip bus protocols like ACE, AHB, AXI etc.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to coordinate with US-based development teams

Good to have, but not necessary:

  • Domain knowledge of wireless networking protocols such as 802.11ax, and experience with design/verification of modems implementing them
  • Experience with accelerators and security/cryptographic algorithms like SHA, AES etc.
  • Experience with networking designs
  • Experience with gate-level simulation and/or low power verification methodologies
  • Advanced knowledge of CPU, GPU and SoC architecture/design
  • Working knowledge of academic or commercial formal verification tools.

Senior Verification Engineer (San Jose, California)

Job Description:

The position requires application of best-in-class formal methods and formal verification methodology on large, complex ICs, using commercial coverage-driven simulation and formal verification tools. Candidates must be able to learn state-of-the-art verification concepts and methodology, and apply these in an advanced verification setting.

Requirements:

  • Strong educational background with a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, or experience in developing modular software or hardware components.
  • Experience in developing simulation‐ or formal‐based verification.
  • Familiarity with the ASIC design and verification flow.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and inter‐personal skills.

Desirable, but not required:

  • Working knowledge of academic or commercial formal verification tools.
  • Working knowledge of SystemVerilog, Vera or e verification languages.
  • Knowledge of assertion languages: PSL or SVA.

Verification Engineers (Gurgaon, India)

Job Description:

The position requires learning and applying modern verification tools on IC designs.

Requirements:

  • Strong educational background with a BTech in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering from an IIT, or an equivalent college.
  • 0-2 years of work experience.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.

Desirable, but not required:

  • Familiarity with the ASIC design and verification flow.
